Care Policy

At SKINNYS we endeavour to use the highest quality materials available - however we also encourage you to take care of your products for maximum longevity.  SKINNYS does not take responsibility if you do not care for your product properly.  As many of our products are made from natural materials, they are subject to variations in colour and thickness.  This variation in natural products can be increased over time as they wear and through the cleaning process - so please be advised that some variations can occur.  However by following these instructions your sheepskin will remain strong and soft.  

To wash your sheepskins and seatcovers, use Woolskin woolwash & shampoo. It is not expensive and is available at any Skinnys store or online. Wash in your washing machine on a gentle wash in cold to warm water, and hang in the shade to dry - DO NOT dry in the Sun or near any heat source.

For Ugg boots, due to the soling it is not recommended to wash them in the washing machine, as this can affect the innersole material to which the sheepskin innersole is connected. However they can still be hand washed following the above instructions.

Exchange Policy

If you wish to return an item for an exchange please contact customer service, state your reason for exchange, Order Confirmation Number and we will assist you with the exchange.

All returned products must be in ‘as new’ condition, not worn, nor washed and all tags in place. All costs associated with returning item(s) back to us are your responsibility. A new postage and handling cost will apply for sending the exchanged item(s) to you.

Acceptance of returned goods are subject to the goods being inspected at our warehouse and being judged, in our sole discretion, as in original, undamaged, not used or worn, with all tags attached, ‘as new’ re-saleable condition. Refused items will be returned back to you at your expense.

Any returns received by us after 30 days from the date your order was dispatched may attract, at our sole discretion, a re-stocking fee (charged in Australian Dollars), which is a 10% of item(s) original purchase price.

When returning the goods please ensure that you use recorded delivery method, so you will have a proof of posting your return.

 

Return Policy

If you wish to return an item for an exchange or refund please contact customer service for assistance. Please state your reason for return, your Order Confirmation Number and advise if you would like an exchange or refund.

Returns for refund within 14 days of purchase date are accepted for a full refund of the purchase price of that product (excluding shipping* and, if applicable, extra and/or coupon discounts). All returned products must be in ‘as new’ condition, not worn, nor washed and all tags in place. All costs associated with returning item(s) back to us are your responsibility.

Acceptance of returned goods are subject to the goods being inspected at our warehouse and being judged, in our sole discretion, as in original, undamaged, not used or worn, with all tags attached, ‘as new’ re-saleable condition. Refused items will be returned back to you at your expense.

Any returns received by us after 14 days from the date your order was dispatched will be refunded with a deduction of the original shipping costs plus a re-stocking fee (charged in Australian Dollars), which is a 10% of item(s) original purchase price minus any extra and/or coupon discounts that were applied when the order for the returned item(s) was placed.

Cancellation of order

To cancel an order, please contact us immediately. Cancelled orders that haven't been dispatched will be refunded.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept cancellations for products that have already been dispatched and our Return Policy will apply in that case.

 

Duplicate orders

From time to time customers could place a duplicate order: two or more of very similar orders, made within a short period of time from each other. For security reasons we do not have access to the credit card details of customers, and all payments for orders are approved by customers themselves.

Our order preparation processes are automated and we are unable to catch duplicate orders unless alerted by customers. We cannot guarantee that we will read the request to cancel a duplicate order prior to that order being dispatched as we are trying to process all orders as fast as we can at the same time as we read and answer contact inquiries as fast as we can.  If we do suspect a duplicate order, we will contact the cutomer before processing.

 

Method of Refund

If a refund is due, it will be made in accordance with our policies and directly to the credit card that was used for the purchase or to the PayPal account that was used for the purchase.

 

Delivery

We always strive to achieve best practice and as such have chosen to align ourselves with particular reputable and proven delivery systems. However, once an order is dispatched from our premises we are not responsible for any delivery delays.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure correct shipping/delivery details are provided to Skinnys through this web site. If we are required to re-ship orders, because incorrect details are provided, any costs associated with re-shipping of such orders are the customers responsibility.

The delivery fee is automated through Australia Post - should the incorrect delivery/packing fee be charged via the website, Skinnys will contact the prospective buyer before shipping the product requesting the correct delivery fee to be paid before shipment.  Should the buyer have been overcharged they will automatically be refunded any fees overcharged and the product will be shipped without delay.

All delivery times/dates provided are approximate estimates only and are given from the date of the dispatch, not from the order date. All delivery times/dates provided are estimates only and are at the discretion of the postal system providers.

Delivery charges may not cover import fees & taxes which may apply when shipping outside Australia. It is the customer's responsibility to determine whether their order will be subject to extra fees upon collection in their country.

Without limiting the operation of any other policy herein, we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a late delivery. Without limiting the operation of any other policy herein, you agree that late delivery either through post or processing time does not constitute a failure on our part, and does not entitle you to cancellation of an order.

 

Loss or Damage in Transit

We are not responsible for any loss or damage of your order in transit. As soon as we hand over your order to the postal system providers the risk of loss or damage is passed on to you. All costs associated with recovering / or investigating lost or damaged orders are your responsibility.

When you place your order and click "Proceed to Secure Checkout" button you agree that we are not responsible for the orders lost or stolen in transit. You also agree that any claims of parcels lost or stolen in transit fall in the responsibility of the buyer.

Without limiting the operation of any other policy herein, we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after we hand over your order to the courier providers. Should you wish to insure your order against loss or damage in transit, please contact us prior to the purchase so we may arrange postal insurance, or select the 'express post option' (additional cost apply).

 

Warranty Against Defects

All products on this website are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for thirty (30) days from the date of dispatch, rights under the warranty sit alongside the consumer guarantees.

If you have received our product(s) and find some kind of a manufacturing or other fault or defect with the product(s), please email us immediately and we will be able to assist you further. Please do not send us back any product(s) you consider faulty unless we have specifically asked you to do so. We will not be assessing or returning any product(s) we receive back without our prior written request for such return.

We will consider reports, emailed to us, of our product(s) being received with a manufacturing or other fault or defect for up to 30 days from the date your order was dispatched.

If after assessment we establish that the supplied product(s) has some kind of manufacturing or other fault or defect, we will replace the faulty product(s) for a brand new product(s) of exactly the same style/colour/size combination as originally supplied. Strictly no refunds for faulty product(s).

 

Return of Special Offer products

If you wish to return an item for an exchange or refund please contact customer service for assistance. Please state your reason for return, your Order Confirmation Number and advise if you would like an exchange or refund.

Returns for refund within 14 days of purchase date are accepted for a refund of the purchase price of that product (excluding shipping* and, if applicable, extra and/or coupon discounts) as follows:

If a Special Offer consists of more than one product and not all products are returned for refund, the purchase price of each of the returned product(s) is deemed to be equal to the original purchase price of the entire Special Offer minus the full purchase price** of a product that was not returned for refund (**as displayed on our website at the time we have received the returned product back).

If a Special Offer consists of more than one product and all products are returned for refund, the original purchase price of entire Special Offer is deemed to be the purchase price for all returned products in that case.

All returned products must be in ‘as new’ condition, not worn, nor washed and all tags in place. All costs associated with sending item(s) back to us are your responsibility.

Return to Sender

If, for any reason, the parcel with your order is returned to us marked "Return to Sender", your order will be cancelled and refund will be made to the credit card used for your order or to the PayPal account used for your order, as follows: Shipping and Insurance costs and, if applicable, extra and/or coupon discounts are not refundable.

 

Business Hours of Operation

Our business hours of operation are: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm* (*Australian Eastern Daylight), excluding public holidays. The CONTACT page of this website is not attended on weekends and public holidays (Australian time).

 

Packaging of Parcels

We do try to minimise any such charges for our customers and we use very tough, but lightweight packaging. Orders of just a couple of items are usually packed in tough postal bags, multiple item orders could be packed in boxes.

 

Payment Method

You can pay for your order using VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit cards through a Secure Credit Card payment facility or by credit cards, debit cards* or by bank transfer through the Secure PayPal payment facility. (*Debit cards are accepted, if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.)

The Secure Credit Card payment takes place through a secure internet payment service provided by MasterCard and Australia's largest secure online payment provider - Dialect Payment Technologies, who's client list is spanning MasterCard and American Express, major global Banks, Airlines and International Media conglomerates. The payment process is quick and simple and no registration required. Dialect's Payment system is secure - it uses 168 bit SSL high-grade encryption and utilises the best commercially available technology and procedures to protect the security of your online transactions. Your credit card and personal details are encrypted before they are transmitted over the internet. We do not have access to your credit card details, the Dialect Solutions secure payment system debits your credit card at the time of your order and sends us an approval of payment and our system generates an order that we then process. This system is far more secure then receiving your credit card details directly as MasterCard and Dialect Solutions online security arrangements are far superior.

The Secure PayPal payment takes place through a secure internet payment service provided by PayPal, the world's largest online payment provider.

This Payment Method policy applies to all orders, including orders of custom made products where the processing time may be longer than usual. Some payments may be subject to ID verification which requires the credit card holder to complete and return (by email or fax) a Payment Authorisation form.

 

Response to Inquiries

We make every effort to answer contact inquires we receive as fast as we can and we try to process all orders we receive as fast as we can. As we receive many contact inquires we cannot guarantee an immediate response to the contact inquiry. An order may be already processed and shipped at the time we have read and responded to the email inquiry about that order.

We usually answer contact inquires during our normal hours of operation, which are: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm* (*Australian Eastern Daylight time). The CONTACT page of this website is not attended on weekends and public holidays (Australian time).

From time to time our email response to a contact inquiry may not reach the addressee of that inquiry. That may happen due to many factors, including the incorrect email address supplied by the addressee, email box of the addressee being too full to accept our response, the addressee's mail server settings preventing our response from reaching the addressee or placing our response into the Bulk mail folder.

 

Confirmation Emails

Our website auto-generates and sends confirmation email to the email address provided in the order after payment for that order has been made successfully. Our website also auto-generates and sends confirmation email to the email address provided in the order after an order has been processed and dispatched.

We cannot guarantee that the order confirmation email or the shipping confirmation email will reach the addressee of that confirmation email, as from time to time our auto-generated confirmation email may not reach the addressee of that email. That may happen due to many factors, including the incorrect email address supplied in the order, email box of the addressee being too full to accept our confirmation email, the addressee's mail server settings preventing our confirmation email from reaching the addressee or placing our confirmation email into the Bulk mail folder.

We do not receive customer replies to our auto-generated messages, such as order confirmation emails or shipping confirmation emails. We do state on our auto-generated messages that a reply to such messages will not reach us  To contact us via e-mail please select the 'contact us' option on our website.

 

Additional Discounts and Coupon Codes

From time to time we offer Additional Discounts on some of our products. When offered, Additional Discount is calculated on purchase price of the least expensive Item in the Shopping Cart. Only items from the same order apply for Additional Discount, if it is applicable. Any Special Offers, when more than one product is offered for a single purchase price, are treated as a single Item when added to the Shopping Cart, no matter how many products are in the Special Offer.

From time to time we issue Coupon Codes that provide extra discounts on some of our products. Coupon Code Discounts are calculated on top of other Additional Discounts, if Additional Discounts are applicable. The calculation of discounts is automated and Coupon Code Discount is available only if the correct Coupon Code is submitted through the Shopping Cart during ordering before the Checkout. Coupon Code Discounts are not retrospective and cannot be applied to orders which were placed without application of the Coupon Code. Although some Coupon Codes can be used many times, only one Coupon Code can be used per any one order.

Shipping costs are excluded from Additional Discounts and Coupon Code Discounts.

 

Privacy Statement

We respect your right to privacy. We collect only the information necessary for us to complete your order or to contact you regarding the status of your order. We will not disclose your private information unless compelled to do so by law. We reserve the right to store and use collected data solely for its own internal purposes.

We reserve the right to store usage logs of visits and use of our site. These logs may be used by us as information about the user base and usage patterns. We reserve the right to provide aggregate statistic information about our website's visitors to third-party.

We may utilise "cookies" to help recognise you as a repeat visitor and to track traffic patterns on our site. This information is completely anonymous. We use this information to improve the user-friendliness and functionality of our website.

We attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is complete, current, or error-free. The product images and colours on this site are representational only. Actual products and colours of finished products, including colour of the sheepskin, the sole, laces, metal eyelets, or the appearance of the heel label, may vary from those displayed. Sheepskin is a natural product and colours of different pairs of boots may vary slightly in dye penetration from time to time according to the lanolin content within individual skins. The pattern of the outer sole may vary from one pair of boots to another. The insole of the dark coloured boots could be made from white or black fleece. The darker colours may transfer some dye to the feet for some time at the beginning of wearing the new boots. The heel counter of sheepskin boots could have single or double row of stitching. Sheepskin is a natural product and the thickness of the fleece may vary. When the sheepskin boots are new some fleece may come out from the inside of the boots where the skin has been cut, that is a normal process of a natural product.

Shipping Information

Delivery times are separate from processing times (Processing times may vary from 24 hours to 21 business days subject to peak period times and stock availability). We have aligned ourselves with excellent delivery partners, but there may be times when, despite their best efforts, parcels are delayed in the delivery process. We will always endeavour to work with our delivery partners to ensure prompt arrival of your products. It is your obligation to enter the correct delivery address details at the time of ordering. Should you enter the wrong address, we are not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense. We will provide you with an estimated date for delivery of all parcels. While we make every effort to deliver by this time, all dates specified are estimates only. We have aligned ourselves with Australia Post who we believe will always do their best to deliver products by the estimated delivery date. Please note that if an item has been lost in transit, we will not dispatch a replacement item immediately. Replacement items will be dispatched according to our discretion. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a late delivery. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, you agree that late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement, and does not entitle you to cancellation of an order. If any items are out of stock, you will be advised and given an expected arrival date. You will have the option of having a part order shipped or waiting until your order can be fully supplied.

Delivery within Australia normally takes 1-3 business days (QLD and NSW), 1-6 business days (other states) once the order has been dispatched. Please note that delivery times may take longer than usual due to the delays imposed by COVID.

Due to size and weight restrictions, certain orders must be shipped by "common carrier" (trucking company). We will find the carrier that best suits your order and call you for approval of the shipping charge. Oversize and Overweight parcels are parcels with a greatest linear dimension over 105cm. or parcels with a total weight over 20kg or parcels with a girth exceeding 140cm. Both oversize and overweight parcels will take longer to arrive and additional charges may apply.

We will contact you for any orders that must be sent by any way other than Australia Post. All Australia Post parcels are trackable and require signature upon receipt.
