Emu Caller 30cm

An emu caller is a traditional hunting tool used by Indigenous Australians to lure emus away from their nests. It is a hollowed-out wooden instrument that, when tapped with an open palm, makes a sound similar to a female emu. This sound attracts the male emu, which guards the eggs, to leave the nest to investigate, allowing other hunters to collect the eggs for food.
